Ms. Shannon Moody

Hello! We're thrilled to share a bit about ourselves with you. With over 27 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, we've dedicated our lives to nurturing and shaping young minds.
Our journey began over two decades ago in home childcare, where we had the privilege of creating a warm and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. For 16 years, we poured our hearts into providing a safe and loving space for children to explore, play, and discover the world around them.
Outside of our professional lives, we're proud parents to two wonderful sons who bring us endless joy and pride. They've been our greatest teachers, inspiring us to continuously strive to be better educators and role models.
Throughout our career, we've witnessed the incredible impact that early childhood education can have on children's lives. It's a journey filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable moments, and we feel grateful to have been a part of it every step of the way.
As we continue on this rewarding path, our passion for working with young children remains as strong as ever. We're excited for the future and all the opportunities it holds to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey!
Mr. Dave Moody

Hi, I’m Mr. Dave, co-owner of A.S. Academy of Learning with my wife, Shannon Moody. Together, we’ve been dedicated to the Early Education field since 2000, opening our Large Family Center in 1999. Followed by our first center in 2014 and second in 2017. I‘ve been happily married to Shannon for over 28 years, and we have two amazing sons. Along with my role at the Academy, I also drive a school bus for special needs children in the district. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Hello everyone, I'm Kisha! It's a pleasure to introduce myself to you. With 23 years of experience in childcare, I've dedicated my career to nurturing and supporting the growth of children. For the past decade, I've had the privilege of being a part of the A.S. Academy of Learning family, where I've cherished every moment spent with the children.
As someone deeply passionate about education and childcare, I've recently transitioned into the role of an administrator. This new position allows me to share my knowledge and expertise with other passionate educators, guiding and supporting them as they embark on their own journeys in childcare.
Working with children has always been my calling, and I consider it a true honor to play a role in shaping their lives. Every day brings new opportunities for learning, growth, and connection, and I'm grateful for the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of both children and educators alike.
I'm excited for the future and all the wonderful experiences that lie ahead. Together, let's continue to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and dreamers!

Hello, I'm Kim, and I've had the pleasure of being part of the A.S. Academy of Learning family for three amazing years. Working here has been an absolute joy, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to work with infants, who bring such warmth and wonder into my life every day.
Aside from my passion for caring for infants, I also have a love for baking, particularly during the holiday season. There's something so special about creating delicious treats and sharing them with loved ones, isn't there?
On a personal note, I'm a proud mother of two grown sons, each of whom holds a special place in my heart. Being a mother has been one of the greatest blessings in my life, and it's shaped me into the nurturing and compassionate individual I am today.
I'm excited to continue nurturing and caring for the little ones here at A.S. Academy of Learning, and I look forward to creating many more wonderful memories together. If you ever want to chat about baking recipes or share parenting stories, I'm all ears!

Hello, everyone! I'm Monae, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you all. For the past 13 years, I've had the privilege of working in childcare, and I can honestly say it's been a journey filled with endless joy and fulfillment.
One of the greatest joys of my work is witnessing the incredible growth and development of children. There's something truly magical about seeing their eyes light up as they discover new things and realize the endless possibilities that lie before them. It's a privilege to play a part in nurturing their curiosity and helping them navigate the world around them.
I'm passionate about creating an environment where children feel empowered to explore, learn, and have fun. Whether it's through imaginative play, hands-on activities, or outdoor adventures, I'm dedicated to providing children with opportunities to discover and develop their unique talents and interests.
I believe that every child deserves to feel supported, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential, and it's my mission to ensure that they do. I'm excited to continue this journey of growth and discovery alongside each and every one of you.

For the past four years, I've had the pleasure of being part of the A.S. Academy of Learning family. Working with the children here has been an absolute joy. Their energy, curiosity, and endless smiles never fail to brighten my day.
As someone who values connection and nurturing relationships, I believe in creating a warm and welcoming environment where every child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to thrive. Hi! I’m Mya the School age teacher here at A.S. Academy of Learning. I graduated from Christiana High School, and I am currently working on furthering my education at Del-Tech. I’ve always had a passion for being able to create my own fun, healthy and safe environment for students. I am thrilled to work with the students at A.S. Academy of Learning and will ensure to always put them first. I will always continue to bring positiveness into this center.

My name is Michala I am a Senior at Hodgson Vo-Tech High School. After High School I plan to attend College studying Early Childhood and a minor in Special Education. I have my TECE 1 and 2, and I am currently working on obtaining my CDA. My goal while working with your child is to build a safe and productive environment. I look forward to building bonds with each family as well as being a part of your child’s growth.

Hello, my name is Joe and I’m 23 years old. I’ve been in childcare for about 3 years. The reason why I love being in childcare is I love the fact that I can inspire young minds, teach and nurture the children in my care. I plan to further my Early Childhood Education career, I am currently enrolled at Montgomery College in Silver Springs, Maryland for Early Childcare Education. Outside of educating young minds, I am a cosmetologist, dancer and singer. I want to thank you for welcoming me at A.S. Academy of Learning. I look forward to working with you all.

Hello! I’m Noel, and while I’m a new teacher, I’m excited to learn and grow alongside all the amazing children in my care. I believe that kids truly shine when they get to explore the world through creative play and hands on learning. My goal is to help children grow emotionally, socially and intellectually with activities that spark their curiosity and boost their confidence. I also believe that working alongside parents is the key to making sure every child’s unique needs are meet consistently.

My name is Maleeka. I am new to Early Childhood Education, but it is something I always wanted to do. I am a mother; I love to bake, and I am a doula. I have a passion for children, and I love to see the sparkle in their eyes when they learn something new. I plan to further my education in the field as well. I look forward to building relationships with the families and working with the children as well.
